Therése "Tiee" Granholm

There is something inside me that wants to tell stories, and my way of bringing my stories to life is through my art. Each painting carries a tale, or many tales, perhaps. I think that you as a viewer see that story in the paintings, in your own special way.

Nature is my inspiration. I am also inspired by romance and exploring the sublime, by fairy tales and legends, fantasy and reality. I work mainly in ink and oil, but also in watercolor, gouache and acrylic.

I am currently living in Stocka in Hälsingland, Sweden, where I work with my art while studying Visual Arts at Umeå University. I have previously studied Comics and visual narrative at Malmö University and Visual Narrative at the University of Art and Design in Gothenburg, as well as independent courses in graphic design and digital creation. Over the years, I have had exhibitions in Sundsvall, Stockholm and Malmö, among other places.
